“We often hear that divorce clients are generally good people at their worst, especially when it comes to contested litigation.  I believe that one of my jobs as a Columbus family law attorney is to help my clients find their way past their worst days and to move on with their lives, beyond the courtroom."

With more than 20 years of experience, Gus Dahlberg, Babbitt and Dahlberg’s Managing Partner, focuses exclusively on family law, representing clients throughout Franklin County and across the state. His expertise spans divorce, child custody and support, alimony, and complex asset division, as well as family law appellate matters.

Gus's dedication to his field has earned him recognition as a Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law by the Ohio State Bar Association and as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the AAML’s Ohio Chapter. He has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer since 2020 and has earned an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating℠ from Martindale-Hubbell. He is an active member of the American Bar Association - Section of of Family Law, where he has regularly been involved in planning the Section’s continuing legal education seminars, and he actively contributes to the legal community as a frequent lecturer on family law issues.

In addition to his professional achievements, Gus is deeply involved in the Clintonville community, where he lives with his family. He volunteers with Columbus City Schools, helped establish a K-2 chess program at Clinton Elementary School, and has served as a board member and board chair for Clintonville Go Public. Gus's commitment to youth development extends to coaching and his past service with the North Columbus Intramural League.
